Dr. Rebecca McMillen is a professor, entrepreneur, speaker, wife, and mom, who knows what it’s like to live an overloaded, stressed-out life. Not long ago, Rebecca was trying to juggle a full-time job, run a household, a business, and complete her PhD. Her kids jokingly called her some sort of wonder woman. But in reality, she was anything but. Her life was a total mess.
Each day she felt overwhelmed and guilty if she wasn’t working. She had too much on her plate, too little time, and no possible way to get it all done. Despite all that she was putting into her career and home life – it was never enough. She felt like she was failing in her job, as a mom, and wife.
Wanting a better life, Rebecca researched ways to free herself from her hectic life. She learned that life isn’t about getting more things done, it’s about getting the right things done. Today, she’s no longer stressed or controlled by busyness. She has more energy, time, and space for the people and activities she loves the most.
Rebecca is a curious learner, which has led her to earn five college degrees (Ph.D. in Education, Master's degrees in Art Administration and Education, and Bachelor’s degrees in Art History and Nursing). At Busyaholics, shares her vast knowledge, teaches, and coaches others how to go from being busy all of the time to start living a happier, healthier, better life.
Rebecca is originally from the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia. She enjoys interior decorating, reading, and pottering around in the garden.
